The holiday season is upon us! Time to thoughtfully ponder what trinkets or shiny baubles our loved ones want this year…however, how perfect would it be if we could find eco-friendly, socially conscious, fair trade items? Wouldn’t that be awesome? Only if such options existed…wait! I think such fair trade options for holiday gifts don’t DO exist! How fortuitous!
Well…for those of you who may not know where to find fair trade gifts, this year is your lucky year because I’m here to offer up some suggestions that will surely tickle anyone’s fancy. My first recommendation is for the chocolate lovers in your life.
Forget love…I’d rather fall in love with chocolate! – Anonymous
Chocolate! Let’s be real, who doesn’t love chocolate? I mean other than the few exceptions of unfortunate individuals with allergies (sadness), I can’t think of many people who would dare loathe the delectable awesomeness of chocolate. Can you?
And what is more perfect than gifting your loved ones with Theo Chocolate?
Fair Trade, the first U.S. organic chocolate factory, locally made in Seattle, socially/ethically/environmentally conscious, and the best quality because Theo chocolate is made from bean to bar. (Side note: if you haven’t already had a tour through the Theo chocolate factory, I believe you must make haste like Charlie (from the childhood classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and book a tour)
Here are some great stocking stuffers! Theo has four holiday flavors that is sure to make you jump with elf-like giddiness. Milk & Cookies, Gingerbread Spice, Peppermint Stick, and Nutcracker Toffee. My personal favorite is the Peppermint Stick.

You don’t have a fan of chocolate bars in your midst? How about some caramel? Apple Cider (love love love!) and Peppermint! If you haven’t tried Theo’s caramels, you must, so if you don’t want to use these as little stuffers or gifts for the coworkers…why not treat yourself? I’m sure all the running around for last minute gifts will drop your blood sugar just a tad and you definitely don’t want to be passing out in the middle of a crowded mall to get trampled by a mob of frenzied people who ate their caramels.

Or maybe you want something more decadent? Theo teamed up with seven renowned chefs, most of whom are local to the Seattle area, and crafted the Theo Chef Session. Seven luxuriously delicate truffles with flavors uniquely formulated by the chefs in harmony with Theo’s skilled artisans. What else is great? Purchasing this set will donate $15 our local food bank, Lifeline (affiliate of Feeding America), to help end hunger in West Seattle.

And there is also the 12 piece Holiday Confection box with tantalizing flavors like Fig Fennel and Scotch worthy of anyone’s drooling.

One more thing…what’s a cold wintry season without a piping hot mug of sipping chocolate? Theo’s Peppermint Sipping Chocolate is sure to calm the nerves after a stressful holiday season or bring cheer to the holiday party. Also, the sipping chocolate is vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and soy free for any of your more sensitive friends.

The suggested selections above are all seasonal so hurry and go get them while you can because they will sell out. And in case you’re quick but still too late to the party…

Hopefully, I’ve shown you some ideas that you might want to entertain and alleviated the stress that is slowly starting to build up. As for me..I think I might have overdosed on the indulgent and classiness of Theo and will probably start with a few gifts for myself.
Here’s to the holiday season and good luck to all of you who are starting the mad dash to the checkout lines, virtual and in person.
Cheers.
